The Japanese cypress comes through first, then that darker musk settles in after about twenty minutes. I keep this one in the living room and the large jar easily lasts through a whole evening of burning.

I’ve had this candle burning in my office for two days and the black musk and Japanese cypress combo makes the whole room smell like a rainy forest hike. The burn is even and slow, so I’m not worried about it tunneling out on me anytime soon.

The throw on this thing is unreal—I lit it in my living room and could smell the bamboo and cypress from the hallway within twenty minutes. The black musk keeps it from being too woodsy, which I appreciate since I'm not usually a pine-type person.
