Discover the warm, gourmand scent profile of Vanilla Sunday and learn what to expect from its burn time in a Voluspa large jar candle.
Quick answer
The Vanilla Sunday large jar candle delivers a rich, dessert-like scent with layered sweetness, and its burn time is typical for Voluspa's large jar format—around 100 hours.
Is the scent too sweet for daily use?
Vanilla Sunday is undeniably a gourmand fragrance. The notes of plum butter and whipped vanilla create a thick, dessert-like sweetness that some find comforting and others overwhelming. If you prefer fresh, citrusy, or green scents, this may feel heavy for everyday burning.
Decision rules for buying Vanilla Sunday
- Choose if you love gourmand scents: If vanilla, praline, and sweet bakery-like aromas are your go-to, this candle is a strong match.
- Consider burn time expectations: Voluspa large jars typically burn for 100 hours. The wax pool reaches the edges evenly when burned in 3-4 hour sessions. Avoid burning longer than 4 hours at a time to prevent sooting and maintain scent throw.
- Check room size: This candle works best in medium to large rooms (up to 300 sq ft). In a small bathroom or office, the scent can become overpowering. For smaller spaces, consider a mini tin candle instead.
